some good sketches here. if you're going to set a time limit for yourself, try capturing the essence, mood, or movement of the subject, without going into much detail. if you're not imposing a time limit, feel free to really focus hard on depicting what you see; don't use shortcuts. your pencil should feel like it's moving along the subject itself instead of the paper. really capture it. you're working hard and it's going to pay off, just keep it up. you have a great attitude and plenty of potential.
Totally new. It all started with a sketchbook I got in January 2009, drew the likeness of my daughter (to my surprise), got inspired by cartoonist Lynda Barry, then this blog was created in May 2009.
I must confess that getting visits from wonderful stranger artists out there is a thrill.
