From photo... chipmunks are striped squirrels, not the kind at North Hollywood park here in Southern California. But to be precise, I guess you're right. Chipmunk it is! Thanks!
Hi, Ako, Thanks for your kind words. Your enthusiasm for art here is overwhelming, it's really great. Your sketches have a natural curiosity that, unfortunately, is often times missing in even the most advanced pupil of the arts. I hope you can afford yourself the opportunity to sketch more from life than from photographs, and though that may prove more of a hassle at first, it will surely pay dividends in the near future. Cheers!
Totally new. It all started with a sketchbook I got in January 2009, drew the likeness of my daughter (to my surprise), got inspired by cartoonist Lynda Barry, then this blog was created in May 2009.
I must confess that getting visits from wonderful stranger artists out there is a thrill.
Everyone is welcome and thanks for visiting!
sweet little sketches on here! keep em up :)
ReplyDeleteAnd your sketch cuter!...I personally like your human sketches best:). look forward to seeing your nesxt post.
ReplyDeleteNot to criticize, but this looks more like a chipmunk, with the markings on the face. Is this a photo, or from memory?
