First Stage... Fright

My first attempt in painting: my daughter Syndel. The pic was when she was four while on the portrait I aged her a little. Now what? More youtube demos to watch.

Resisting the temptation to say "maybe I'm only meant for pencil drawings". Instead, I will say the canvas will be my playground!

  1. Keep practicing! You can improve a lot if you stay focused in your goal. I think you are great and maybe who knows you can be good with acrylics or watercolor or digital. Think big.

    Kisses!

  12. Your girl is so cute! It´s a very clear drawing, (mines are very dirty in the begining). I would like to see it with colour.

  14. Awesome attitude! I've learned a lot from my failures and always grow...there is that initial fear of failure I always go through, even as I debate about what method I am going to use to start a new drawing...I'm often disappointed at the very beginning of how things appear to be turning out and regret not having used another technique...but I've been through it enough to take a deep breath and push on through...the majority of time things have turned out pretty good...Great start on this and I look forward to seeing how the painting turns out!
