I struggled painting Tucker, my dog, in his natural orange/tan color. I decided to re-do and stick with the black and white photo coloring. Lesson learned? Don't be afraid to re-do.

It all started with a sketchbook I got in January 2009, drew the likeness of my daughter (to my surprise), got inspired by cartoonist Lynda Barry, then this blog was created in May 2009.
