Halle Berry

  1. Hi there,

You should download the Andrew Loomis books, Figure drawing for all its worth, and Drawing the head and hands, they are old and out of print so many places online host them, a simple google search will find em. They are great for learning how to construct human figures, and can really be applied to anything. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Keep up the drawing! :)

  4. I see the the likeness...specially around the eyes...
Keep plugging away, art only improves via repetition. So study, practice, and keep at it..
I appreciate your visit and hope to hear of your work in the future..

  8. enjoyed looking through your illos; the falling water... have you thought of getting a small journal and tiny watercolor kit to take with you places. I got one at Dick Blicks that has a portable brush in which the handle has water inside of it so that you can paint a lot on the road

Akiko, my name is Vicki. My profile title "Art Fan Ako" means "I'm an art fan" in Tagalog (Filipino). So, Ako means "I am" or me.

  21. Hello. Thanks for the kind words on my blog! Please stop by anytime.

You did a good job of capturing Halle. Nice drawing.

I agree with Kimberly, it will be great to see your progress- you certainly have a lot of drive and passion. That goes along way. If I were to give you a tiny bit of unsolicited advice, I would say: if you're doing a pencil or charcoal line drawing, vary the weight and line type a bit more. Use a variety of lines- Heavy, Light, Soft, Hard, Thin, Thick, etc. Your drawing now is mostly a med weight soft line. Try incorporating more variety when applicable.

Oh, and I also agree with the post regarding the Andrew Loomis book. Great book.

Nice work, keep the post coming.
